Men's Track and Field

AGGIE TRACK TEAMS EACH TAKE 12TH AT MESSIAH INVITATIONAL

GRANTHAM (PA) – The Delaware Valley College men's and women's track and field teams each took 12th place (men out of 14 teams, women out of 16) at the Messiah College Invitational.

Teagan McCardle had the top Aggie finish as she took second in the javelin with a throw of 113 feet, 6 inches. Shelly Salvemini placed fourth in the pole vault as she cleared the bar at 7 feet, 2.5 inches. Melissa Greulich and Samantha King were sixth in the long jump (13-10.25) and shot put (33-2) respectively.

On the men's side, Brian Carter and Greg Rosario each had a pair of top-seven finishes. Carter was fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.20 seconds and seventh in the 200 with a time of 23.23 seconds. Rosario was fifth in both the 110-meter hurdles (16.81 seconds) and the 400-meter hurdles (61.28 seconds). Greyson Smith had the top male finish for Delaware Valley as his leap of 39 feet, 10 inches in the triple jump was good enough for third place.

The host Falcons claimed both team titles as their men notched 179 points while the women racked up 171 points.
