THREE AGGIES COMPETE AT ECAC TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

NEW YORK CITY (NY) – A trio of Delaware Valley College track and field standouts competed at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championships, which was held at the New Balance Armory on Friday and Saturday.

Lewis Vincent earned three team points and was the lone placewinner for the Aggies. He placed sixth out of 20 competitors in the long jump thanks to a leap of 21 feet, 11 inches. Vincent also competed in the 60-meter dash preliminaries along with teammate Brian Carter. Vincent took 15th with a time of 7.09 seconds while Carter was four spots behind at 7.11 seconds.

Alexis Maylor was the lone Delaware Valley representative on the women's side. Maylor, who one week earlier captured her second straight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) championship in the pentathlon, just missed out on scoring team points as she finished ninth with a total of 2,863 points over the five events. Maylor also took part in the women's long jump and was 16th with a leap of 16 feet, 10.5 inches
