CARTER, VINCENT TAKE CROWNS AT MUHLENBERG INVITATIONAL

ALLENTOWN (PA) – Brian Carter and Lewis Vincent notched first-place finishes in the 55-meter dash and the long jump respectively to highlight Delaware Valley College's showing at Friday's Muhlenberg College Indoor Invitational. Team scoring was not held at the event.

Carter and Vincent, who joined the men's track and field team after strong seasons with the Aggie football team, each competed in the 55-meter dash. Carter took top honors with a time of 6.57 seconds while Vincent was third as he was clocked at 6.73 seconds. Vincent captured his individual crown in the long jump with a leap of 6.34 meters.

Delaware Valley also had a pair of runner-ups in Rasheed Bailey and Greyson Smith. Bailey, a wide receiver on the football team, cleared the bat at 1.75 meters. Smith competed in the triple jump and was credited with a leap of 11.96 meters.

On the women's side, Samantha King and Teagan McCardle were second and third in the shot put. King recorded a throw of 10.33 meters with McCardle right behind at 10.25 meters.
