COLLEGEVILLE (PA) -- The Delaware Valley College men's and women's indoor track and field teams returned to action for the first time seven weeks as the Aggies competed at the Collegeville Classic hosted by Ursinus College. The men placed 11th out of 17 teams while the women were 16th out of 16 squads.
The Delaware Valley men racked up 11.5 points with sprinters
Brian Carter and
Lewis Vincent combining for 6.5 of the tallies. Carter took fifth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.15 seconds while Vincent took sixth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.97 seconds. The two then teamed up with
Kyle Lane and
Khalif McBurrows to take seventh in the 4X100 meter dash with a time of 1 minute, 40.84 seconds.
Greyson Smith notched two points in the trriple jump as he was sixth with a leap of 38 feet, 11.75 seconds. Smith, Lane,
Aaron Rill and
Greg Rosario picked up the remaining point in the 4X400 relay (3:49.85). Division II East Stroudsburg University captured the team title with 117.5 points.
On the women's side,
Alexis Maylor grabbed the lone two points for the Aggies as she was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 16 feet, 1.5 inches. Division II Kutztown University had 88 points to claim the team title.
