DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Marianne Morton's breakaway goal early in the second half was the lone tally of the game as host Delaware Valley College blanked Muhlenberg College, 1-0, in a non-conference game.

The win was the first for Delaware Valley as it improved to 1-2 on the young season. The Mules saw their record drop to 1-2-1.

After a scoreless first half, the Aggies struck exactly four minutes into the second. Mary Taylor sent a pass through to a streaking Morton. Morton then put the ball past Muhlenberg goalie Francesca Cobuzzi for the junior captain's second goal of the season. Meanwhile, the Delaware Valley defense held the Mules to just three shots in the second half and eight for the game (the Aggies had just four shots in the game).

Julie Burnell recorded five saves, en route to the shutout for Delaware Valley. Cobuzzi was credited for two saves in the loss.
