RADNOR (PA) – Cabrini College scored two goals in the final 4:20, including one with just 41 seconds remaining, as the Cavaliers stunned visiting Delaware Valley College, 3-2, in a non-conference game.
After both teams scored in the first half, Delaware Valley (1-3) took a 2-1 advantage with 13:21 remaining as senior
Rony Jacober scored her first goal of the season. Cabrini (1-4) tied it as Stephanie Toomey took a pass from Lindsey Atzert and beat Aggie goalkeeper
Sandra Edwards. Then with the game heading towards overtime, Cabrini was awarded a penalty stroke. Katie Savage converted the opportunity for the game-winning tally.
Delaware Valley opened the game's scoring 10 minutes in as
Kelsey Zook notched her third goal of the year off an assist from Jacober. However, the Aggie defense inadvertently put the ball in its own goal with 7:39 to go in the first half for a 1-1 score.
Delaware Valley held advantages of 15-7 in shots and 13-12 in corners.
