DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Kristin Ambrose scored the lone goal of the game midway through the first half as Neumann University downed host Delaware Valley College, 1-0, in the season opener for both teams.

As the clock went over the 23-minute mark (23:10 into the half), Olivia Pryzbylkowski sent a pass to Ambrose in the box. Ambrose turned away from an Aggie defender and beat goalkeeper Julie Burnell for the tally.

That was all Neumann would need as the Knights held advantages of 13-7 in shots and 5-2 in corners. Burnell kept Delaware Valley in the game with nine saves while Briana King stopped five shots, en route to the shutout.
