DELVAL WOMEN'S SOCCER FALLS IN OVERTIME AT KING'S

WILKES-BARRE (PA) – Ivy Nulton scored with 1:39 remaining in the first overtime to lift host King's College to a 2-1 triumph over Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

Nulton took a pass from Taylor Sweeney on the right side of the box and drilled a shot into the upper left corner of the net for the deciding goal. It helped improve the Lady Monarchs to 3-8-1 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

The Aggies (2-9, 0-3 Freedom) struck first as they were award a penalty kick with 11:10 remaining in the first half. Marianne Morton stepped up for the opportunity and connected on her third goal of the season. King's tied it 2:44 into the second half as it took advantage of a Delaware Valley own goal. It remained tied until Nulton's heroics in the extra session.

The Lady Monarchs held a 17-10 advantage in shots and a 3-0 edge in corners. Jessica Natale had six saves in the win while Julie Burnell recorded five saves for the Aggies.
