AGGIES POST 3-0 SHUTOUT AT DESALES

CENTER VALLEY (PA) –Dana Gentile's dream season continued on Saturday afternoon as the senior scored one goal and assisted on another to lead visiting Delaware Valley College to a 3-0, Freedom Conference victory over DeSales University.

With the win, the Aggies improved to 6-5-2 overall and 2-2 in league action. The Bulldogs fell to 2-11-1 and 0-4.

Gentile notched 12 goals and six assists for 30 points in the first three years of her career. She has nearly matched that in 13 games this year with 12 goals and four helpers for 28 points. Her fourth assist came less than 16 minutes into the DeSales game as she sent a pass across to Miranda Schieler and Schieler scored her third goal of the season.

Seven minutes later, Marianne Morton sent Gentile on a breakaway and she beat Bulldog goalkeeper Michelle Churchman for a 2-0 Delaware Valley lead. It stayed that until six minutes into the second half when Morton picked up another assist, this one on Nicole Huff's second tally of the year.

DeSales held advantages of 18-8 in shots and 4-2 in corners. Aggie goalkeeper Julie Burnell stopped seven shots in the win.
