EDWARDSVILLE (PA) – Taryn Hallowell scored a pair of first-half goals to lead Wilkes University to a 2-0 triumph over visiting Delaware Valley College in the Freedom Conference opener for both teams.

Hallowell gave the Lady Colonels (5-6, 1-0) a 1-0 advantage just 15:56 into the contest as she took a feed from Jana Martin and beat Aggie goalkeeper Julie Burnell. She found the net again with an unassisted tally 16 minutes later.

Wilkes had advantages of 24-3 in shots and 9-5 in corners. Burnell was credited with 11 saves for Delaware Valley (3-7-1).
