RADNOR (PA) – Sabina DeGisi scored three goals to lead Cabrini College to a 4-2 victory over Delaware Valley College in the final day of action at the Cabrini Soccer Festival.
DeGisi tallied the lone goal of the first half just 6:07 into the contest. The Aggies tied it up in the first 11 minutes of the second stanza as
Dana Gentile one-timed a feed from
Sam Loeber past Cavalier goalkeeper Gianna Porter.
However, Cabrini (2-1) scored two times in a seven-minute span to take a 3-1 lead. Maddy Edward found the net with the first one while DeGisi earned her second tally of the day.
Delaware Valley made it a one-goal with 7:23 remaining as
Ariel Butera shot from 20 yards out deflected off a Cavalier defender and went into the net. However, DeGisi finished her hat trick and put the game away with 4:41 left on the clock.
Cabrini held a 24-9 advantage in shots and had a 3-0 edge in corners. Aggie freshman Elizabeth McQuillan was credited with six saves in het while Porretta finished with four stops.
