AGGIES BLANK ARCADIA 2-0

DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Marissa Di Miero and Holly Rich notched a goal and an assist apiece and Hollis Hancock recorded her first collegiate shutout as Delaware Valley College posted a 2-0 victory over visiting Arcadia University in a non-conference game.

The win improved the Aggies to 5-3 overall and they now prepare their Freedom Conference opener with DeSales University on Saturday, September 26. The loss dropped the Knights to 2-4.

Di Miero gave Delaware Valley all the scoring it needed with 13:09 remaining in the first half as she took a feed from Rich and deposited her second goal of the season. The two then exchanged roles early in the second stanza as Rich tallied goal number five on the year thanks to an assist by Di Miero.

Hancock made the lead stand as the sophomore finished with eight saves, including one on a penalty stroke with less than eight minutes remaining in the contest.

Delaware Valley held advantages of 28-8 in shots and 14-4 in corners. Brittney Rausmussen was credited with 10 saves for Arcadia.
