DOYLESTOWN (PA) – Christina Fabian scored the lone goal of the game as FDU-Florham posted a 1-0 victory over host Delaware Valley College in a Freedom Conference game.

The win improved the Devils to 7-8 overall and 2-3 in the conference while the Aggies saw their records fall to 10-7 and 1-4.

Fabian's goal came off a corner opportunity for FDU-Florham with 11:50 remaining in the first half. The initial shot clanked off the post, but Alex DeVito got to the loose ball and sent in back in front of the cage. Fabian was there to notch her team-best eighth goal of the season.

The Devils held on for the remaining 58-plus minutes, despite Delaware Valley holding a 20-10 edge in shots. Eleven of the shots came in the second half, including some golden opportunities in the closing minutes, but the Aggies could not get the tying tally. Jamie SanFilippo recorded 10 saves and earned the win while Jackie DeScenes finished the afternoon with five saves at the other end.
