PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Delaware Valley track and field teams split competition Friday evening, sending a relay squad to the prestigious Penn Relays while Victor Cruz competed solo at the Rick McCorkle Invitational.
The Aggies' women's 4x400m relay team of Emma East, Emma Haas, Ava Latona, and Ayla Hashway delivered a strong performance, placing seventh in their heat with a time of 4:20.52. The mark ranks as the fourth-fastest 4x400m relay time in program history at Penn Relays, while the finish stands as the team's second-highest placement in the event at the meet.
Competing at TCNJ, Cruz turned in an impressive showing in the men's 200m, finishing third overall with a time of 21.61.
Friday's competitions served as the final tune-up for Delaware Valley before the Middle Atlantic Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships, set to begin April 30.
