Game Recap: Baseball | | Kam Geiger

Knights Take Down Baseball 8-3

Neither team generated much offense through the first three innings, with both sides combining for just one hit. That changed in the fourth, when Arcadia broke the game open with a seven-run inning. Oswald started the rally with a two-run double, followed by RBI hits from Trendafilov and Pustilnik. Additional runs came on a groundout, a fielder's choice, and another RBI single from Abdullah, pushing the lead to 7-0.

Delaware Valley struggled to respond against Arcadia starter Wolff, who kept the lineup off balance throughout. The Aggies finally broke through in the sixth, when Gavin Migliori came around to score on a Liam Martin single and throwing error, cutting the deficit to 7-1.

Arcadia added an insurance run in the eighth on a heads-up baserunning play, extending the lead to 8-1.

Delaware Valley showed some late fight in the ninth. Pat Higgins delivered an RBI double down the left field line, and Andrew Cullinan followed with a run-scoring groundout to trim the margin to 8-3. However, the rally ended there.

Arcadia finished with 10 hits, led by Oswald's two doubles and two RBIs. Delaware Valley managed six hits, with Higgins and Cullinan driving in the late runs.

Delaware Valley will aim to bounce back tomorrow, April 18th, in Saturday's doubleheader action at home against Arcadia starting at 12 pm.
