Aggies Roll Past Valley Forge with 5–1 Victory

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley University men's soccer earned a convincing 5–1 win over Valley Forge, showcasing balanced scoring and strong defensive play throughout the match.
The Aggies opened the scoring in the 12th minute when Gianluca D'Alterio, assisted by Aaron Osborne, buried a low shot to give DelVal the early 1–0 advantage. Valley Forge responded quickly in the 21st minute, leveling the game at 1–1 on a goal from Brandon Perez, assisted by Melvin Maldonado. DelVal answered just three minutes later. Karl Kowula fired a high shot into the left corner in the 24th minute to put the Aggies back in front, 2–1. Goalkeeper Nick Becker kept the lead intact with key saves, including a stop on Perez in the 35th minute.

Coming out of halftime, D'Alterio struck again in the 59th minute, finishing a low shot inside the center of the net to extend the lead to 3–1. Ten minutes later, Constantin Mahner added to the Aggies' tally with a high strike to make it 4–1. DelVal sealed the victory in the 83rd minute when Kowula netted his second of the match, assisted by Adam Ruiz, capping off the 5–1 performance. The Aggies' attack was relentless, generating multiple chances while Becker stood strong in goal, making several saves to shut down Valley Forge's counterattacks.

With the victory, Delaware Valley improves to 5-1 on the season and will host Saint Elizabeth University this upcoming Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
