DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — The Delaware Valley University women's soccer team dropped its 2025 season opener to Bryn Mawr College, 1–0, despite a strong late push.
Goalkeeper
Nicole Ocejo was called into action just over a minute in, making an early stop before Dosen and
Alexa DelGiudice each fired attempts that went wide. Ocejo added three more saves, but Bryn Mawr capitalized in the 36th minute when Gwozdz scored off a rebound for the game's lone tally.
In the second half, the Aggies generated chances of their own.
Erin Shuey threaded a pass to
Marissa Rogers 12 minutes after the restart, but her shot was turned aside. Rogers nearly equalized again in the 84th minute, beating two defenders before Bryn Mawr keeper Blackman made a diving stop to preserve the lead.
Ocejo finished with seven saves across 90 minutes in net. With the loss, DelVal falls to 0–1 and will look to bounce back Sunday on the road against Ursinus.
