DOYLESTOWN, Pa. — Delaware Valley University and the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) are proud to announce that Charles "Chuck" Alpuche '81 has been selected for induction into the MAC Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding contributions as a student-athlete and leader.
A 1981 graduate of Delaware Valley College, Alpuche was a standout defensive end for the Aggies football team. He was a two-time All-MAC Northern Division honoree and the 1980 MAC Northern Division Most Valuable Player. That year, he helped lead DelVal to its first-ever MAC championship with a 7-3 overall record and a perfect 7-0 mark in division play. The Aggies' defense, led by Alpuche, posted four straight shutouts and allowed just 21 points in division games.
Alpuche still holds the school record for tackles in a single game (22 vs. Wilkes in 1980), and he also set a then-record with four sacks in that contest. Following graduation, he signed a free agent contract with the NFL's Detroit Lions and was inducted into the Delaware Valley Athletics Hall of Fame in 1989.
Off the field, Alpuche has built a distinguished career in business. He is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Insulet Corporation and previously spent over 30 years in senior operational roles at PepsiCo. In 2022, he was appointed to the Board of Directors for The L.S. Starrett Company.
Alpuche earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from DelVal and later received an executive master's in organizational management from the University of Pennsylvania.
