DOYLESTOWN, Pa. - Delaware Valley University is pleased to announce the hiring of
Samantha Renson as its newest assistant athletic trainer.
Renson brings a wide range of athletic training experience at the NCAA Division III level, high school athletics, and elite youth sports. Most recently, she worked at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where she provided medical care to youth athletes under the age of 18 across a variety of summer sports camps.
Prior to her time at IMG, she served as an assistant athletic trainer at Keene State College, where she played an integral role in supporting several championship-caliber programs. Her primary sport assignments included men's soccer, men's basketball, baseball, and women's swimming & diving — all of which reached postseason competition, with multiple teams winning Little East Conference (LEC) titles and advancing to the NCAA Division III tournament.
Renson has also completed clinical rotations with Oklahoma State University, Owasso High School, Whirlpool Tulsa Division, and Oklahoma State University Medical Center, developing expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, documentation, and emergency response across diverse populations and settings. In 2023, she completed a semester-long internship at Delaware Valley University, where she worked primarily with the football program and assisted with the care of student-athletes across all varsity sports.
Renson earned her bachelor's degree in kinesiology from the University of Mississippi '21, where she also completed a certificate in intercollegiate athletic administration. She later earned her master's degree in athletic training from the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences '24.
Outside of athletic training, Renson proudly serves as a human resources officer in the New Hampshire Army National Guard, holding the rank of officer since commissioning in 2021. Her military background, which began during her time as a cadet in college, reflects her strong leadership, organization, and service-oriented mindset — all of which she brings to her work with student-athletes.
"I am so excited to start working at Delaware Valley University as an athletic trainer," Renson said. "I loved the environment when I worked here as a graduate student, and I cannot wait to begin working as a full-time ATC back in my home state. Thank you to Alan Diamond, Ryan Wantz, Keir Livingston, and the entire Athletics Department for trusting me with this opportunity. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to grow over the past year as a clinician and I am excited to put those skills to work."
