Men's Lacrosse Drops Conference Opener to DeSales

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley men's lacrosse team dropped its MAC Freedom conference opener to DeSales on Saturday afternoon, falling 22-4. Senior Kieran Schneider led the Aggies with three goals and four total points.

DeSales came out firing, scoring on their first three shots of the game. Despite a pair of early saves from Daniel Hickling, the Bulldogs extended their lead to 6-0. Following a DelVal timeout, Ryley Savering put the Aggies on the board with 2:50 remaining in the first quarter off an assist from Schneider. However, DeSales responded quickly, winning the next two faceoffs and scoring on both to make it 8-1 after the opening period.

The Bulldogs added to their lead early in the second quarter. Schneider had a shot on goal, but it was turned away, and DeSales continued to control possession, taking a commanding 15-1 lead into halftime.

In the fourth quarter, with the Aggies trailing 20-1, Danil Didden made a save and Luke Witko scooped up the ground ball, leading to back-to-back goals from Schneider. The senior added a third in the quarter after a DeSales turnover with 6:29 remaining. The Bulldogs capped the scoring with a goal at the 3:30 mark to seal the 22-4 victory.

With the loss, Delaware Valley falls to 4-6 overall and 0-1 in MAC Freedom play. The Aggies return to action on Wednesday, April 9, when they travel to face Misericordia University.
