DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Kieran Schneider scored the lone goal for the Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team in a 25-1 loss to the No. 11-ranked Stevens Ducks on Wednesday evening.
After falling behind 6-0 early in the first quarter, the Aggies capitalized on a man-up opportunity when
Luke Witko connected with Schneider, who found the back of the net with 6:37 remaining in the opening frame. Freshman goalie
Daniel Hickling faced heavy pressure throughout the quarter, turning away eight of the Ducks' 23 shots in the first 15 minutes.
Trailing 17-1 late in the second quarter, Delaware Valley had another extra-man opportunity but couldn't generate a shot. Attempts by
Owen Kelly and Schneider were turned away, and the Aggies headed into halftime down 18-1.
In the third quarter, Hickling opened with a save that led to a transition chance for Schneider, whose shot missed wide. Offensive chances were limited the rest of the way, with Kelly and Schneider each firing off late attempts in the fourth—both stopped by the Stevens goalkeeper. Schneider had one final shot in the closing seconds, but the Ducks maintained possession to close out the game.
With the loss, the Aggies drop to 4-11 overall and 0-6 in MAC Freedom play. They'll wrap up the 2025 season on Saturday, April 26, with a road matchup against King's College.
