Men's Basketball Cruises to 41-Point Win Over Rosemont

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley men's basketball dominated Rosemont College on Saturday afternoon, 93-52, as 13 Aggies found their way onto the scoresheet.

DelVal fell behind by five early before Jeremiah Lee grabbed an offensive rebound and went back up to get the Aggies on the board. The teams traded buckets with JT Wright knocking down a three, answered on the other end by Gomez. Rosemont built its largest lead at 13:08, going up by 10, but another offensive board led to a layup from Jordan Strickland to spark the Aggies.

After a pair of free throws from Strickland, Jeremiah Alexander scored back-to-back layups to pull DelVal within two. Alexander then tied the game at 20 before Mike Herrin came up with a steal that led to a Zach Smith bucket, giving the Aggies their first lead of the afternoon. A Strickland dunk followed by layups from Antonio Redding and Strickland capped an 11-0 run. Ryan Everett knocked down a three late as DelVal carried a 39-29 advantage into halftime.

Rosemont opened the second half with a bucket, but Herrin answered with a layup and then forced a steal that set up a Wright score. Moments later, Alexander picked a pass and took it coast-to-coast for a dunk. Herrin went on a 7-0 run of his own, and baskets from Redding and Lee pushed the lead to 24 with 15 minutes remaining.

Smith added points at the line before Herrin stretched the margin to 30 at 71-41 with 11 minutes to play. Off the bench, Jahan Owusu converted a three-point play after a Rosemont turnover, while Kamal Johnson and Owusu each hit threes. Late triples from MarQuel Fitzgerald and Caleb Johnson closed out the 41-point victory.

With the win, the Aggies improve to 4-4 overall and return to action Wednesday, Dec. 17, hosting New Jersey City at 6:00 p.m.
