Four Aggies Hit Double Figures in Road Win Over UMSV

BRONX, N.Y. – Delaware Valley men's basketball dominated the University of Mount Saint Vincent on the road, rolling to an 87-62 victory for their second straight win.

The Aggies exploded out of the gate with a 12-0 run fueled by early buckets from Mike Herrin, Jordan Strickland, and Kamal Johnson. After the Dolphins responded with a 6-0 spurt, JT Wright stopped the push with a three-pointer. A brief scoring drought followed, but three free throws from MSV cut the Aggie lead to six. Strickland and Antonio Redding knocked down mid-range jumpers midway through the half, but Mount Saint Vincent battled back to within four.

From there, DelVal flipped the switch. Brendon Bradford drilled three straight threes, Ryan Everett added another from deep, and Herrin finished a fastbreak off a steal by Jake McGinty. Redding capped a 19-0 Aggie run before a pair of free throws finally halted the surge, and DelVal took a commanding 44-20 advantage into the locker room.

Both sides traded baskets early in the second half before Redding connected from deep to push the lead to 36, the largest of the afternoon. Strickland and Everett helped maintain separation until turnovers allowed the Dolphins to piece together an 11-0 run. After a Brian Mordi free throw, the Aggies answered with another 10-point burst, highlighted by five straight from Redding. Coach Kaba emptied the bench late, and both Zach Smith and MarQuel Fitzgerald scored off their own steals before the buzzer.

Four Aggies reached double figures: Redding, Herrin, Strickland, and Bradford. Strickland anchored the defense with a team-high nine rebounds.

Improving to 2-1, Delaware Valley returns home on Thursday, Nov. 20, hosting Rowan at 7:00 p.m.
