SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Jess Williamson scored the lone goal for Delaware Valley in a 4-1 loss to Susquehanna University on Saturday evening.
Sydney Dispoto fired the first shot of the game but missed the net, followed by several attempts from the Riverhawks that forced Viola Anderson to make three saves in the first 20 minutes. Kalie Quaglia opened the scoring for Susquehanna at 20:55. Later, in the 37th minute, the Riverhawks struck again, with Kim Dalessio finding the net behind Anderson. Williamson recorded the Aggies' second shot but missed to the left.
Nicole Shisler took over goalkeeping duties in the second half and faced two quick goals in the 48th and 49th minutes, bringing the score to 4-0. Williamson recorded the first shot on goal for DelVal, ending the game with all three of the Aggies' shots on target.
Williamson netted her third goal of the season, breaking the shutout in the 64th minute. She later added another shot on goal, which was saved.
Following the loss to the Riverhawks, the women's soccer team fell to 1-6 overall and will be back on the field on Wednesday, Sept. 25, at Neumann.
