DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Delaware Valley University men's soccer team fell to the Neumann Knights 2-1 in a non-conference match for the Aggies home opener.
The Aggies had four different opportunities to score in the first half landing just a single shot on the net. The Knights out shot the Aggies 14-4 with Aggie goalkeeper Aidan Lane netting four saves to keep the score 0-0 after the first 45 minutes.
At around the 56
th minute mark, Knights' Jake Kuzmick had the first goal of the game, giving the Knights an early lead. After 20 minutes of back-and-forth possession, Riley Senisi broke away from the Aggies defense and made it 2-0 in favor of the Knights. Immediately following the Aggies kickoff,
Kam Geiger put the Aggies on the board scoring a solo shot in the high left corner of the net.
The Aggies recorded 12 shots with three shots on goal in the contest. Lane recorded six saves to keep the score 2-1.
The Aggies' next game is Monday, September 16
th when they travel to face the Bulldogs of John Jay College at 4 p.m.
