Center Valley, Pa. – Delaware Valley men's lacrosse dropped its first conference contest of the season to DeSales University on Friday night 21-2. The Aggies record fell to 4-7 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Freedom.
The Bulldogs opened the evening scoring nine straight before the Aggies could get one of their own on the board.
Ryley Savering scored his 13
th of the season, assisted by
Jack Sprinkle with one minute left in the first. DeSales netted a tenth goal with just eight seconds left.
Six more goals were scored by DeSales to take a 16-1 lead going into halftime.
Chris Marren fired a lone shot on net and
George Evanick fired two wide through the second quarter.
DeSales scored three in the third quarter and one in the fourth before
Frederick Offenburger found the back of the net scoring the second Aggies goal, Sprinkle picked up another assist.
Jim Murphy made 13 stops in the crease while
Luke Kelchner led DelVal with seven ground balls.
DelVal men's lacrosse returns home on Wednesday, April 10 to take on Misericordia University at 7:00 p.m.
