Murphy Makes Career-High 25 Saves in Loss to #14 Stevens

Hoboken, N.J. – Kieran Schneider scored both Delaware Valley tallies in a 25-2 loss to the number 14 ranked Stevens IT on Wednesday night.

A turnover on a failed clear attempt by Jim Murphy led to the first Ducks goal just one minute in. Jack Sprinkle fired the first shot on goal after the following faceoff before Stevens stretched out to a 6-0 lead. Later with seven minutes left in the first quarter, Schneider netted his 15 goal of the season to put the Aggies on the board.

The Ducks scored three in the second frame, the first off a rebound chance from a shot hitting the post behind Murphy.

Down 16-2 with four minutes left in the third quarter, Schneider found his own rebound and scored his second tally of the evening.

Stevens poured it on in the final frame, scoring seven goals, all but one at even strength. The Ducks fired 50 shots through 60 minutes while Murphy made a season-high 25 saves.

DelVal men's lacrosse wraps up their 2024 season at home on Saturday, April 27, hosting King's College at 1:00 p.m. for senior day.
