Men's Lacrosse Toppled by Dutchmen 21-6

Annville, Pa. – Delaware Valley men's lacrosse held a tie through the first quarter but was outpaced by Lebanon Valley, falling to the Dutchmen 21-6.

LVC found the back of the net less than two minutes into the conference contest before Chris Marren fought off three defenders to find George Evanick curling around the net to tie the game. Off the following faceoff, Evanick found Ryley Savering in front of the net giving the Aggies their first lead of the game. The Dutchmen tied the game with over eight minutes to go. With 1:05 on the clock, Kieran Schneider wrapped around the net and beat the goalkeeper snagging the lead back for DelVal. LVC tied the game once more before time expired.

The Dutchmen peppered the Aggies and Jim Murphy scoring nine straight goals through the second quarter leading 12-3 at halftime.

After the 13th LVC goal to open the third, Savering cashed in for his second goal of the game, assisted by Marren. The Aggies conceded four goals through the remaining ten minutes, one on a man-up opportunity.

In the fourth quarter, the Dutchmen scored back-to-back man-up goals before Marren scored his lone goal of the game, assisted by Schneider. With five minutes to go, Jack Sprinkle scored on a man-up chance, Sprinkle himself had four penalties throughout the afternoon accounting for four of the Aggie's nine-plus minutes. Goalie Murphy played all 60 minutes making 19 saves, one short of his season-high 20 vs Goucher.

DelVal has lost all three conference games thus far, falling to 4-9 overall. The Aggies next return home on Wednesday, April 17 vs Arcadia at 7:00 p.m.
