Doylestown, Pa. - Delaware Valley men's lacrosse dropped their MAC crossover contest with Hood College on Saturday afternoon 12-2.
The Blazers wasted no time getting on the board just forty seconds in by Robbie Wiley, Hood put the Aggies a man-up after the goal. A DelVal turnover led to another Blazer goal with 3:10 to go in quarter one, this time scored by Owen McDemott. McDermott notched another tally with under two minutes and Rio Muldoon scored with three seconds to go to put Hood on top 4-0
George Evanick got the Aggies on the board two minutes into the second frame after Hood turned the ball over, Aidan Purcell picked up the assist. Connor Flok found the back of the net on a man-up chance at 8:03 for Hood. The Blazers netted three all under three minutes left in the half.
After another Hood tally to open the third, Evanick scored his second of the game after a pair of chances at the six-minute mark, assisted by Jack Sprinkle.
Hood scored three throughout the fourth quarter to hand the Aggies their second loss of the season. Goalie Jim Murphy made 17 saves playing all 60 minutes.
DelVal men's lacrosse is back in action on Wednesday, March 13 visiting Gwynedd Mercy University at 4:00 p.m.
