Ten Aggies Score in Convincing 24-5 Win Over Centenary

DOYLESTOWN, PA. – Jack Sprinkle and the Delaware Valley men's lacrosse team easily handled the Centenary University Cyclones on Saturday afternoon with a convincing 24-5 win after a six-game skid.
Sprinkle scored 59 seconds into the game unassisted before having to wait four minutes before their next tally by George Evanick. Less than a minute after Evanick's tally, Luck Kelchner caused a turnover leading to Sprinkle's second goal of the afternoon. At 6:45, Kieran Schneider found the back of the net, lifting the Aggies to a 4-0 advantage. Later in the quarter, Chris Marren got a pass from Schneider to put the Aggies up six after the first 15 minutes.

In the second, Ryley Savering netted back-to-back goals at 10:41 and 7:54. Marren scored the ninth Aggies goal before Jim Murphy's shutout was snapped by Centenary's Brandon Verderber, it was quickly answered ten seconds later by Frederick Offenburger. With five minutes left in the first half, Aiden Purcell scored on a man-up opportunity increasing the Aggies lead to 11-1. After the first two frames, DelVal led 12-2 thanks to Sprinkle scoring a man-up with 0:23 left on the clock.

The third quarter opened with three DelVal goals by Kelchner, Marren, and Savering. Up 20-3, Ashton Benkwitt etched his name on the score sheet with an assist on a Sprinkle goal with 5:50 remaining. With two minutes to go, Dalton Richter scored his career goal putting the Aggies up by 18.
