Evanick and Schneider Net Two in Loss to Immaculata

DOYLESTOWN, PA. - Delaware Valley men's lacrosse fell to Immaculata University on Wednesday night 15-8. Aggie sophomore Kieran Schneider and senior George Evanick led Aggies with two goals each.

Immaculata scored two minutes into the game on a man-up opportunity after Luke Kelchner was called for slashing. They netted another 30 seconds later on the same man-up chance to go ahead 2-0. Two more Mighty Mac goals came in the first quarter from Wesolowski and Frame.  

After Immaculata scored another tally a minute into frame two, Evanick scored his first of the game, assisted by Schneider to get the Aggies on the board. The Mighty Macs scored off the following faceoff but was answered just over a minute later by Schneider, Aggies trailed 6-2. Later in the quarter, Aiden Purcell cashed in on a man-up chance, assisted by Chris Marren with four minutes to go. A goal with 3:35 left sent Immaculata into halftime with an 8-3 advantage.  

Early on in the third, Schneider and Evanick connected on a tally splitting a pair of Immaculata goals three minutes in. Down 13-4 with just 13 seconds left, Schneider found Marren in front of the net for a goal. 

Schneider and Evanick scored back-to-back goals to open the final quarter for the game, Evanick's coming after a caused turnover by Kelchner. The Mighty Macs scored two more before Jack Sprinkle found the back of the net for the final mark of the game. Aggie goaltender Jim Murphy made nine saves.  

The Aggies next take the field on Saturday, March 23 visiting Mount Saint Vincent at 12:00 p.m.
