Reading, Pa. - The Delaware Valley men's lacrosse team suffered their first loss of the 2024 season to Albright 23-3. 

The Lions struck first three and a half minutes in after DelVal's Dalton Richt fired the first shot on goal of the game. Albright scored again to go ahead 2-0 a minute later beating goalie Jim Murphy. Jack Sprinkle got the Aggies on the scoreboard with three minutes to go, ending the first frame down 5-1. 

In the second, Albright scored five goals all at even strength firing 19 shots. Murphy made five saves. 

With under two minutes left in the third, Sprinkle found the back of the cage again on a man-up opportunity from a slashing call. Aggies trailed 16-2 at the end of the quarter. 

Three more Lions goals opened the final quarter before Robert McCarnan won the faceoff and Sprinkle found Chris Marren for a the third Aggies tally of the game. 

DelVal, now 2-1 overall, next returns home on Saturday, March 9 to take on Hood College at 3:00 p.m.
