READING, Pa. – The Delaware Valley men's and women's track and field teams opened the outdoor season with a bang breaking the women's pole vault record while also recording five first-place finishes.
Lennix Horsburgh placed first in the women's pole vault setting a new school record with a height 3.00m.
Grace Kane also snagged two first place finishes in the day in both the women's 60m (8.17) and women's 200m (27.14).
The men's squad of
Caleb Messenger, Brody Troy,
Pepijn Middel and
Jaidyn White combined for a first-place finish in the men's 4x400 relay with a final time of 3:36.11.
Cole Smeland rounded out the victories for the Aggies with a winning mark of 3.50m in the men's pole vault.
DelVal returns to action in the new year at the Plex Shootout on Feb. 1 at Alvernia.
