Women's Soccer Drops Conference Opener to DeSales

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley women's soccer yielded eight goals to DeSales University in the MAC Freedom opener on Saturday afternoon, Jess Williamson scored the lone Aggie goal.

The Bulldogs scored three goals in the six three minutes of action, Viola Anderson made two saves in that span. Emma Ribeiro scored her third in the 26th minute, still holding the Aggies in their own zone. At 32:30, Williamson broke the DeSales shutout after getting a pass from Erin Shuey, her fifth of the season.

In the second, Alice Kaufman fired a shot wide before Alexa DelGiudice connected one on the net which was saved. Nicole Shisler, who entered at halftime made three consecutive saves before yielding another goal to Ribero at 69:34. The Bulldogs scored three more in the final ten minutes to notch their first conference win.

Following the loss, the Aggies slide to 2-9 overall and 0-1 in the MAC Freedom. DelVal in back on the field Wednesday, Oct. 8 hosting Albright University.
