CAMDEN, N.J. – The Delaware Valley women's volleyball team fell to Rutgers-Camden, 3-0, Saturday morning before going on to drop the match with Hunter College in identical fashion later in the afternoon.
MATCH ONE VS. RUTGERS-CAMDEN (0-3)
Set 1: 14-25
Set 2: 15-25
Set 3: 23-25
In the final set, Camden rallied from a 17-11 deficit to tie the match twice knotting the score at 23-23 before winning the final two points to end the set.
MATCH TWO VS. HUNTER (0-3)
Set 1: 16-25
The first set saw four ties and two lead changes early. With the score at 7-7, Hunter started an eight-point run taking the lead for good on a kill. The Aggies came within three points twice, but Hunter scored seven of the final eight points to win the set.
Set 2: 19-25
Hunter put the first point on the board, but DelVal put up four consecutive in response. The Hawks tied the score at four apiece with the Aggies putting up a single point to regain the lead, 5-4. Hunter scored the next three to take the lead for good in the set.
Set 3: 17-25
The teams tied the score seven times through the first 12 points each. Hunter put together a 4-0 run to pull ahead. The Aggies remained in chase, coming no closer than two with Hunter securing the final two points for the win.
