Women's Soccer Falls to Drew 4-0

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Delaware Valley women's soccer was blanked 4-0 by Drew University on home turf Tuesday night.

The Rangers wasted no time, scoring just under two minutes into the non-conference matchup with a goal from leading scorer Alexa Krause. Krause netted her second of the night in the 14th minute, getting another past Aggie keeper Viola Anderson. Delaware Valley managed only one shot on goal, courtesy of Alexa DelGiudice, as Drew continued to dominate.

Zoey Pipher found Rebecca Racine behind the DelVal defense, allowing Racine to stretch the lead to 3-0 five minutes before halftime.

Dani Iannelli took over in goal for the Rangers at the start of the second half and was immediately tested, making a save against Sydney Dispoto. Krause completed her hat trick in the 52nd minute, bringing the Rangers' total to four. Although Dispoto and Olivia Ball both landed shots on goal, the Aggies were unable to break the shutout.

Following the loss, DelVal fell to 2-8 overall and looks ahead to open conference play on Saturday, Oct. 5, at home against DeSales University.
