Kailey Horton who then beats a defender and the goalie to her right, making the score 3-1. Baker was taken out in the box with 37 minutes to go and was awarded a penalty shot and made no mistake, beating the keeper high left side. The final goal came five minutes later when graduate transfer
Savannah Rennix found Horton who beat multiple defenders to score her second of the game.
With the 5-1 victory, DelVal improves their overall record to 1-1-0. The squad will next play at home on Wednesday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. as they host MAC Commonwealth opponent Stevenson University. Gwynedd Mercy falls to 1-1 and will next be in action on Tuesday, September 5 as they travel to Penn State Abington.
