Doylestown, Pa.- The Aggies defeated the Knights of Neumann University by a score of 4-1 .After losing their first three games, Delval field hockey is starting to build momentum as they win back to back games and have scored six goals in their last two games.
Neumann started off the scoring with a goal from sophmore Mia Black. Delval was able to quickly respond with a goal from sophomore Kenzie Boyd. This would be back to back games for Delval were Kenzie Boyd scored a goal for the Aggies. In the second quarter, sophomore Kaylee Hartung cleans up the rebound and makes the game 2-1. In the remaining thirty seconds of the third quarter, senior Ashley Birmingham blasts a beautiful shot to give Delaware Valley a 3-1 lead. In the fourth quarter, junior Paige Sammonds matches her teammate Kenzie Boyd to score in her second consecutive game to give Delval a 4-1 lead.
The Aggies will be back in action on Friday, September 22nd against MAC Commonwealth foe Albright.
