The Delaware Valley Field Hockey picked up their first win of the season as they defeated Cedar Crest by a score of 2-0. This win marks the first career win for Stefania Swider as head coach for the Delaware Valley Field Hockey program.
The Aggies started the game off strong with a first-period goal scored by sophomore Kenzie Boyd off a nice pass from sophomore Maggie Helsel. The Aggies would hold onto the 1-0 lead going into halftime with some great defense not allowing a single shot on goal throughout the entire first half.
After a scoreless third quarter, Delaware Valley would earn their second goal of the game with less than eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Junior Paige Sammons blasts a shot to net her first career goal off a pass from senior Sydney Keagle. senior Alyssa Rudd earns her first shutout of the season with two saves against the Falcons.Â
 The Aggies will be back in action on Tuesday, September 19th at home against the Knights of Neumann.
