Aggies Fall To Nationally Ranked Bryn Mawr At Home

The Delaware Valley Field Hockey team loses their second home game of the season against nationally ranked Bryn Mawr. The Owls came into tonight's matchup ranked 18th in the NFHCA Division III National Coaches Poll.

The Owls started off the scoring with two goals in the first five minutes of play. The goals were scored by senior Thekla Jubinville and junior Novy Goetgeluk. The second goal for the Owls was assisted by senior Izzy Robinson-Cloete. The Owls would be able to tally one more goal in the remaining seconds of the first quarter as sophomore Lauren Barlow scored off a pass from junior Eva Yacura.  

After a scoreless second quarter, junior Reba Ervin gets the scoring going in the 3rd period to give Bryn Mawr a 4-0 lead. Novy Goetgeluk would go on to score her second goal of the game to give the Owls a lead of 5-0.

In the fourth quarter, Bryn Mawr continued their dominance after goals by sophomore Maggie Barilla, junior Eva Yacura, and sophomore Jasmine Peterson off a pass from Izzy Robinson-Cloete to give Bryn Mawr an 8-0 lead.

Delval was led by senior, Alyssa Rudd with sixteen saves on the day. The Aggies will be back in action on Saturday, September 16th on the road against the Falcons of Cedar Crest.
