WILLIAMSPORT (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University women's lacrosse team traveled to Lycoming College for a Wednesday night conference tilt, but came home on the wrong end of an 18-2 decision.
The Aggies (3-7, 1-2 MAC Freedom) trailed 8-0 after one and fell into a 14-2 hole by halftime. Riley Block and Katie Maguire, the two leading scorers for the Warriors (5-4, 2-0 MAC Freedom), each had four in the half while DelVal got unassisted tallies from Viola Anderson and Ashley Birmingham.
Lycoming tacked on four more in the second half and kept the Aggies off the board for to earn the victory.
Samantha McCurry won four of DelVal's five draw controls and picked up two ground balls with a caused turnover.
The Aggies will look to rebound one week from today, at home, against FDU-Florham.
