DelVal Men's Lacrosse Drops Rivalry Game At Arcadia

GLENSIDE (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team traveled to Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom rival Arcadia University for the annual "Battle For The Bux-Mont Hammer" showdown, but a 13-0 run by the home team led to a 22-7 victory for the Knights.

Dylan Graber got Arcadia (6-7, 5-1 MAC Freedom) on the board just 49 seconds into regulation, but the Aggies (6-9, 2-4 MAC Freedom) answered on a man-up opportunity with Jack Sprinkle finding the twine.

From there, the Knights added one more in the first, four in the second, and eight-straight to start the third to open up a 14-1 lead with 4:36 left in the stanza.

Chris Marren ended the run with a pair of goals assisted by Daniel Aulisi, and then added his third of the third quarter in the waning seconds to make it a 16-4 game after three.

Aulisi scored twice in the fourth and Kieran Schneider scored once, but DelVal was outscored, 6-3, as the Knights came away with the 22-7 win.

Aulisi had two goals and two assists for four points to lead the team and Marren followed with his three goals. Schneider and Sprinkle each finished with a goal and an assist for two points. Sean Mylod had six ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Arcadia was led by a five-goal effort from Justin Chinici and six points each from Billy Burton and Brian Albertsen. The Knights had three different players combine to win 25-of-33 faceoffs.

The Aggies have two games remaining on the schedule, both league games, beginning at Misericordia on Saturday at 1 p.m.
