DOYLESTOWN (Pa.) – The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team celebrated its 10 seniors with a senior day ceremony before falling to visiting DeSales University, 18-4, on Saturday afternoon.

The first half was all Bulldogs (5-7, 3-1 MAC Freedom) as they outshot the Aggies (6-8, 2-4) 17-6, won 7-of-10 faceoffs and forced 15 turnovers to help open up a 7-1 advantage after 30 minutes of play.

DelVal trailed 3-0 before Tony Aguayo hit an open net from nearly 60 yards away to get the Aggies on the board.

DeSales tacked on one more in the first and scored three in the second to open up the six-goal halftime lead. Seven different Bulldogs scored in the half.

The teams traded goals to start the third with senior Brett Ziegler cashing in a man-up opportunity for the Aggies to make it 8-2.

The rest of the way was all DeSales as they piled on 10 more goals while holding Delaware Valley to two as they cruised to the 18-4 triumph.

Jake Hurd led the Bulldogs with five goals and an assist for six points and Beau Neff added two goals and three assists for five points.

For the Aggies, Brett Ziegler had two goals, Aguayo and Sprinkle each had one, and three different players picked up an assist.
