GLENSIDE (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley baseball team traveled to first place Arcadia on Tuesday and gave up two runs in the first and four in the third, as they lost 6-2 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom play.
Emilio Pallante got the scoring started for Arcadia (13-6, 8-1) with an RBI double in the bottom of the first. A Matt Donchez sacrifice fly gave the hosts a 2-0 lead after one inning.
In the third, DelVal made a costly two-out error that kept the inning alive and the Knights took advantage by scoring four runs in the inning. Trey Obarowski delivered the big hit in the inning, a two-run triple.
The Aggies' (6-10, 1-6) offense got going in the sixth inning when Jonathan Drews drove home the first run for DelVal with an RBI double. Hank Bielen followed Drews with an RBI single to score Drews, cutting the deficit to 6-2 after five and a half innings.
DelVal wouldn't threaten again until the top of the ninth when they put runners on first and second with one out, but Hunter Sibley came in to shut the door and earn his fourth save of the season.
Ethan Saxe gave up two earned runs over five innings of work in the start. Colin Foley threw two scoreless innings while Connor Esbenshade fired a flawless eighth.
Hank Bielen led the Aggies offense with a pair of hits.

DelVal will be back in action tomorrow, March 29th at TCNJ at 3:30 p.m.
