Men’s Lacrosse Overcome at Kean

UNION (Nj.)--- The Delaware Valley University men's lacrosse team traveled to unbeaten Kean University on Monday night for a non-conference matchup and came away on the losing end, 20-4.

Kean (7-0) scored the game's first four goals over the first nine minutes to take a 4-0 lead before Daniel Aulisi got the Aggies (3-4) on the board with his 18th goal of the season. The Cougars tacked on three more goals to take a 7-1 lead after one quarter.

Chris Marren scored the first goal of the second to pull DelVal to within five, but Kean scored the other two goal's of the quarter to lead 9-2 after the first half.

Kieran Schneider got the scoring started in the second half for the Aggies with his first career goal to trim the deficit to 9-3, but the Cougars pulled away, scoring the next five goals of the quarter to lead 14-3. Jack Sprinkle tallied the fourth goal for DelVal with 23 seconds left in the third, his 13th of the season, making it 14-4 after three quarters. Kean would go on to shutout the Aggies in the final quarter to run away with a 20-4 win.

Connor Batjer and Tommy Hatmil tied for a game-high three goals each while 13 other Cougars found the back of the net in the game.

Jim Murphy tied his career-high in saves with 20.

The Aggies travel to Immaculata on Wednesday, March 22nd for a 6PM start.
