WILLIAMSPORT (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley men's basketball team fell behind 13-0 early to Lycoming and could never dig themselves out of the hole, as they fell to the host Warriors 56-44.
After falling behind by 13, Godly Marc and Jordan Gombs made back-to-back buckets. The Warriors (13-8, 8-4) quickly put together a nice stretch, as they grew their lead to 28-10 with 7:32 left in the half. Justin Savage put together a 6-0 run on his own to trim the deficit to 12, but the Warriors took a 37-20 lead into the break.
Lycoming held a 43-22 lead three minutes into the second half before the Aggies (10-11, 5-7) went on an 11-0 run. Jake McGinty started the burst with a pair of free throws and Francis Robles Montas ended it with a three pointer. A Lycoming layup ended the run briefly, but DelVal responded with a 6-0 run where they went 4-for-4 from the free throw line to trail 45-39 with 5:53 left. Lycoming took control however with an 8-0 run to seal the deal and eventually take home the 56-44 victory.
Justin Savage led the Aggies with 16 points while adding five rebounds. Godly Marc scored nine for DelVal and added four steals.
The Aggies will be back in action Wednesday, February 8th at DeSales for a 6 p.m. tip.
