Madison, NJ - Delaware Valley traveled to the state of New Jersey to face off against the Drew Rangers in the final non conference game of the regular season. This game marked the only time this season where Delaware Valley left the state of Pennsylvania for a game. After a scoreless first half, the Rangers would go on to dominate the remainder of the game with four unanswered goals to defeat the Aggies by a score of 4-1.
Drew would start the scoring quickly in the third period as junior Tyler Olivio scored off a pass from graduate student Alexa Thomas to make it 1-0. Later on in the third quarter, seniors Maxine Lloyd and Emma Beyer would score back to back goals to take a 3-0 lead. Alexa Thomas and Tyler Olivio were awarded assists on the two goals. In the fourth, Alexa Thomas would get her third assist of the night as she set up Maxine Lloyd to make it 4-0. The Aggies would answer back as sophomore Kaylee Hartung scored off a rebound to cut the deficit 4-1. Fourth goal in the past two games for Hartung as she has established herself as the teams leading goalscorer after tonight's game.Â
The Aggies will be back in action on Saturday, October 7th as they travel to Dallas, Pennsylvania, to face off against the Cougars of Misericordia.
