Doylestown, Pa. - The Delaware Valley women's soccer team fell 7-1 to the Stevens Ducks in their final home game of the 2023 regular season.
The Ducks wasted no time getting on the board scoring just two minutes into the contest. 20 minutes later, Stevens' Angela Dinh increased the lead to 2-0. Meztly Garcia scored the Aggie's lone goal of the evening in the 26th minute when Jess Williamson sent a beautiful area pass her way, and she chipped it over the keeper for her second goal of the season. Olivia Castro scored a third goal for the Ducks with five minutes left.
Stevens went on to score four more goals in the second half as they were able to pick apart the DelVal defense. Viola Anderson earned a career-high 18 saves over the full 90 minutes, that bested her previous 17 saves which came in the first game of the 2023 season against Ursinus.
Following the loss, the Aggies fell to 7-9-2 overall and are still in search of their first conference victory. They will look for that win on Saturday, October 28 as they wrap up the season at FDU-Florham with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.
