Late Goal Not Enough to Defeat LVC, Aggies Fall 4-3

Annville, Pa. - The Delaware Valley men's soccer team could not overcome a deficit and fell to Lebanon Valley College on a rainy Saturday afternoon.

After sailing their two first shots wide of the cage, the Dutchman found the back of the net on their third attempt getting one past Aggie keeper Liam Morris in the 7th minute. At 27:47 a yellow card was dealt to Amos Debah and LVC was awarded a penalty kick. Nathan Prex took the kick and scored to make the score 2-0.  10 minutes later, Pierce Marks cut into the Dutchman's lead with a goal assisted by Prince Mugisha, Marks' fourth goal in 2023. LVC got another goal on the board with less than a minute remaining to go into the break up 3-1.

Mugisha scored his first goal of the season five minutes into the second half as the Aggies tried to tie the game. A yellow card was dished to Andrew Grunwald at 77:18 before LVC scored their fourth and final goal of the game to make it 4-2. With time ticking down, Marks scored his second goal of the afternoon off a penalty kick.

Following the loss the Aggies fell to 3-8-2 overall and 0-3 in the MAC Freedom. DelVal will return to action on Wednesday, October 18, when they host Arcadia University on Robert A Lipinski Field at 7:00 p.m.
