CENTER VALLEY (Pa.)--- The Delaware Valley women's volleyball team traveled to DeSales University for their third MAC Freedom contest of the year and were unable to win a set, as the host Bulldogs came away with a 3-0 victory.
The Aggies (6-6, 1-2) played back and forth with the Bulldogs early in set one, as they trailed 5-4. DeSales then pulled away with an 8-1 run before eventually taking the first set 25-17.
DelVal opened up an early 4-2 lead in set two before seeing the set tied at 7-7. The Aggies hung tough after falling behind 12-7 and cut the deficit to 14-12 before DeSales would pull away late for the 25-16 set two win.
It was all Bulldogs in the third set, as they opened up an 11-3 lead and never looked back on their way to a 25-18 win.
Olivia Deffendall led the Aggies with nine kills while Grace Kane chipped in five. The Aggies hurt themselves with 24 attack errors while DeSales committed only 13.
DelVal will return to action on Thursday for a 7 p.m. home match against Valley Forge.
